Most EXPENSIVE Kids' Clothes: Which Are Outrageous?

All of this talk about Katie Holmes splurging on Suri Cruise's duds got us thinking about where we could find the most expensive kids' clothes for our non-existent offspring. We were surprised to find that the majority of offerings ring in at under $1,000, but we still managed to find baby leather jackets for $525, Dior dresses we wished we could fit into for over $600 and boots any child would outgrow in about a day for a pretty penny. Take a look at our roundup of the priciest children's attire and tell us which items are worth it and which are just outrageous.

I go to Overstock.com. You can get the name brand for pretty cheap! Being a mother always busy and running errands it actually saves me some time and I could not see myself spending that much money.

I want those Prada patent leather boots!

I can go to Burlington, Ross, TJ Max, etc and buy similar looking outfits for pennies on the dollar. My kids would never know the difference, or care for that matter.

Which are outrageous? Try "All of the above".

Ugh what is wrong with society? The sad part is some of those clothes were probably made by kids who are the same age as the kids in those pictures. It's really sad

Cute clothes. Ridiculous prices for something they'll probably grow out of before the bill has been paid.

For the price of ONE $700 boy's designer puffer jacket, you could buy 28 of Target's more expensive boys' puffer jackets ($24.99). You could give almost an entire classroom of poor kids a warm winter.

Indeed. That's what I thought too.

Only the very rich can pay prices for clothes that their children will probably wear...maybe...twice...and grow out of in three months. It's an obscenity, especially since the children themselves wouldn't know the difference between a jacket from Target and a $300 one from Armani. It's all about catering to the elitism and for feeding the self-gratification of the wealthy parents.

This is pretty gross. Definitely about fueling/displaying the parents' egos.

I'm heading to The Hunger Site (http://www.thehungersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=1)

It's a small (daily) gesture for sure, but I need something to wash the taste out of my mouth.
